Security+ rewards breadth over depth, so the fastest route through SY0-701 is a schedule that touches every domain early and then spends the back half of your preparation on timed practice. Weeks one and two cover general security concepts and threats. Weeks three and four move into architecture, where most candidates first meet unfamiliar terminology. Weeks five and six cover security operations, the heaviest-weighted domain, and should include hands-on work with logs and a SIEM trial. Weeks seven and eight are governance plus full-length timed practice tests, reviewing every incorrect answer until you can explain why each distractor is wrong. Track your per-domain scores after each attempt: if a domain stays below your target for two attempts in a row, stop taking full tests and drill that domain until it moves.
